Over the past few months, some long-term readers have told me that they’ve stopped receiving my regular Discovering Belgium emails. The good news is: I’m still here, still writing, and still sending them out!
Since July I’ve been using a new email service called MailerLite to send you my Weekly Inspiration newsletter. It seems that for some subscribers, these emails may have been slipping into your spam or junk folders.
If you have not been receiving these emails, here’s what you can do:
- Check your spam/junk folder. If you find a Discovering Belgium email there, mark it as Not Spam or drag it to your inbox.
2. Add me to your safe senders. This tells your email provider that you want to keep receiving my messages.
- In Gmail: open the email, click the three dots, and choose Add to Contacts.
- In Outlook: right-click the email and choose Never Block Sender.
- In Apple Mail: add the address to your contacts.
This should help ensure you don’t miss any future stories. And of course, if you’d prefer not to receive them, you can unsubscribe at any time. Any questions, just drop me a line.

I created Discovering Belgium in 2011 to share the country’s hidden stories, fascinating places, and remarkable people. Through articles, photography, and audio walks, I share discoveries that reveal Belgium beyond the obvious. Hope you enjoy this site.
I am receiving them thank you. Some great and interesting information. Much appreciated!

That’s good Rosaliene, especially as you are one of my top commenters!
I had no idea, Denzil!
They’re still arriving in my inbox every week!
Great, especially as you are probably my earliest commenter, going back to 2011 probably!
Yes, we do go back a long way. 🙂 And with the Ashes starting soon, the conversations will start up again.
All good and very welcome.
